Partnerships Account Manager

MassChallenge Boston seeks a high-energy, results-oriented account management professional to manage its partnerships with large corporations. In this role you will consistently provide excellent customer service to our incredible sponsors and partners and represent their needs and goals within the MassChallenge community.

This position reports to Dina Samra, Director of Partnerships.

Our ideal candidate is comfortable with responsibility growth and has the capacity to work with all levels of an organization. The candidate will want to leverage his or her demonstrated management experience in a mission-driven, startup-oriented company. They will also be passionate about both the startup community and working with a growing team in Boston.

In keeping with MassChallenge’s values, the Partnerships Account Manager will have the opportunity to regularly interact with MassChallenge startups and alumni in order to help create value for our sponsors and partners in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage all aspects of corporate relationships with corporate development, strategy, and innovation teams. This includes planning events like Demo Days, coordinating sponsor office hours, and integrating sponsors and partners into the startup community through key individual introductions and premium interactions with marquee community events.
  • Develop long-term, strategic customer business relationships with key executives in new and existing accounts with an eye towards trends and changes in the corporate innovation sector.
  • Initially support and later lead the renewal process for current partners with an eye towards increasing partner engagement and revenue

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years account management experience in the field of entrepreneurship, technology, PR, or advertising
  • Strong understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Boston
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication, and customer relationship-building skills across multiple levels of management
  • Goal-oriented, ambitious, self-starter, detail oriented and passionate
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM platform
