Startup Success Associate - Program Coordinator (Temporary Position)

Location: Mexico City


The primary goal of this role is to lead the implementation of a Sprint-based Program by MassChallenge. The Startup Success Associate will lead the sprint-based program with selected startups, speakers, and mentors to guarantee the full adoption of the program tools, and the success of the startups. This position requires an individual whom is eager to help the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Mexico and has a deep interest in startups building education and data solutions.

Main responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high-impact sprint-based program for startups


    • Work with the Community & Outreach Director to deliver a sprint-based program focused on startups working on education for talent and data for good solutions.
    • Lead the delivery of a sprint-based program focused on creating high-impact solutions for startups adopting available tools.
    • Understand how pivoting solutions under a sprint will help high-impact startups to achieve tangible results on time.


  • Maximize the impact of the participating startups


    • Work with the Community & Outreach Director, and Startup Success Manager to deliver the best curriculum and solutions for the participating startups that will impact positively in the market positioning of their product.
    • Identify key opportunity areas and possible solutions to help startups resolve their most pressing needs.
    • Help participating startups to understand their value proposition and solve education for talent and data for good problems, while achieving sustainability for their businesses.
    • Help startups to understand their customer needs and design solutions that fit their problems, avoiding design-reality gaps.


  • Achieve high level commitment of the startups with the program


    • Work with the Community & Outreach Director to ensure the participant startups are able to follow their working plan, having strategic KPIs to measure their performance and the impact of the program on their business.
    • Enhance the accountability of the startup process during the program having clear metrics that demonstrate the growth and impact of being part of MassChallenge.
    • Foster the collaboration and shared solution processes between the startups to promote the development of collaborative solutions between participant startups.


Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in the entrepreneurial ecosystem
  • A proven track record of managing and delivering IT projects for enterprise companies.
  • Ultra-passionate about startups and strong commitment to achieve high-impact results in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Ability to lead multicultural and industry agnostic diverse teams.
  • Degree: MBA or Graduate degree a plus.
  • Exceptional relationship skills, negotiating skills, and the ability to build rapport with internal and external constituencies.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive substantial market growth within a compressed time frame.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Salesforce and other CRM experience preferred.
  • Define project scope, schedule project activities, and integrate those into the broader project plan with the customer project manager(s).
  • Outstanding written and oral communication.
  • Strong process and customer service orientation.
  • Embrace failure as a mechanism to generate solutions
  • Capable to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
  • A professional, hands-on, resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Skilled in leveraging limited resources to create big successes.
  • Ability to lead, a willingness to be led, and comfort with situational leadership.


Note: This will be a full-time position during 5 months in Mexico City at MassChallenge Mexico Offices
