Global Community Coordinator

Location: Boston, MA

MassChallenge is looking for a Global Community Coordinator to join our team in Boston, MA.  In this role, you will help support the MassChallenge Global Community with a focus on:

  • Partnerships – support business development and delivery of MassChallenge global expansion efforts and Bridge to MassChallenge portfolio.
  • Marketing – support our global marketing strategy and related initiatives that align to brand, communications, startup and partner lead generation activities.
  • Fundraising - support and evolve the MassChallenge fundraising campaign to attract and cultivate prospective donors to the pipeline.
  • Alumni - service our global alumni community with event planning, communications and networking opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative support to MassChallenge President and Global Community team: Coordinate schedules, meetings, and calendars, including managing correspondence with staff and constituents.
  • Serve as logistics point person for Global Community team activities and meetings: Be the primary point of contact for support activities including visitors, agenda, logistics and overall experience for regular meetings and assist with preparation for all events.
  • Organize finances and other critical information: Assist with business card scanning and updating Salesforce. Assist with filing expense reports and other related activities.
  • Be the team’s utility player: Help drive organizational transparency by communicating Global Community priorities to the organization. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • You have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1-2 years working in a startup environment. Experience working in a non-profit or similar environment is preferred.
  • You have strong organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, juggle multiple tasks, organize time effectively, conduct research and identify resources for projects.
  • You are skilled at coordinating complex meetings and travel arrangements.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both in groups and individually to meet goals and to develop strong working relationships with internal staff and external constituents.
  • You have a high degree of motivation and self-discipline with a strong work
    ethic. You maintain a conscientious approach to work with the ability to meet tight deadlines, anticipate needs and be proactive in order to resolve issues.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proof-reading and editing.
  • You demonstrate sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • You have the ability to focus on detail without losing sight of the bigger picture, including monitoring and double-checking work and information for accuracy and quality.
  • You provide high-quality service through responsiveness to all requests and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • You have knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in the use of software (Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
