Partnerships Account Manager

Location: Boston, MA

MassChallenge Boston seeks a high-energy, results-oriented account manager and customer success professional to manage its partnerships with large corporations. In this role you will consistently provide excellent customer service to our Fortune 1000 sponsors and partners and represent their needs and goals within the MassChallenge community. 

Our ideal candidate is detail oriented and comfortable working with all levels of an organization. The candidate will want to leverage their demonstrated management experience in a mission-driven, startup-oriented company. You will be passionate about delivering results, uncovering additional ways we can expand partnerships within companies, and excited about getting partners exposed to the innovation ecosystem.  

In keeping with MassChallenge’s values, the Partnerships Account Manager will have the opportunity to regularly interact with MassChallenge startups and alumni in order to help create value for our sponsors and partners in the community. In this you will report to the Director of Partner Success. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Effectively manage and steward all aspects of corporate relationships with partner’s corporate development, strategy, and innovation teams. 
  • Execute with excellence on all deliverables tied to each partner’s contract. 
  • Develop long-term and strategic business relationships with key executives in new and existing accounts. 
  • Initially support and later lead the renewal process for current partners with an eye towards increasing partner engagement and revenue. 
  • Serve as a liaison between partner engagement and all accelerator related activities while planning and managing said activities (such as?events, judging, advisory boards, partner curriculum presentations, partner office hours, etc.). 
  • Collaborate across departments with team members in marketing, program operations, events, and mentorship to ensure effective service delivery. 
  • Embrace a culture of high service, high support, and high expectations in working with partners. 

Who You Are: 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years’ work experience, with a preference in account management, consulting or business development experience.
  • You have strong customer relationship-building skills, are comfortable working with all levels of an organization, and can manage multiple stakeholders at once. 
  • You have a customer service mindset and are known to go above and beyond to help your customers while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. 
  • You have strong customer relationship-building skills, can work with all levels of an organization, and can manage multiple stakeholders at once.
  • You have exceptional project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • You are capable of dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities and circumstances.
  • You are tech savvy and are quick to learn new technology and systems, such as Salesforce.
