The MassChallenge HealthTech (MCHT) and Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) Digital Health Innovation Ecosystem Internship is an incredible opportunity for a purpose-driven, resourceful, and organized student to become immersed in both the startup world and the public sector. The core function of this exciting position is to help navigate the relevant forces driving innovation in the digital health ecosystem in Massachusetts. You will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of the digital health economy in Massachusetts and shaping the environment allowing startups to receive the resources they need to flourish.

What You'll Do:
Startup Ecosystem

  • Map out the digital health innovation landscape both locally and internationally. 
  • Dive deep into planning and executing MCHT’s most critical projects of the year: Startup sourcing, judging and our infamous matchmaking days (where we connect industry leaders with startups addressing their key challenges).
  • Work closely with MCHT Operations and Marketing team to build and lead a data-driven application strategy.
  • Organize and produce exciting engagement opportunities for our community of startups, healthcare organizations, investors and beyond, alongside our events coordinator.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming office environment for the startups and community at MCHT.

Web Content

  • Provide research and analysis and develop content for, the centralized hub for digital health assets, resources, and community engagement in Massachusetts:
    • Research and provide updates for the Mass Digital Health Marketplace Resources.
    • Research and post relevant events and news articles.
    • Review the web portal and suggest areas for updates and enhancements.
    • Analyze Google Analytics reports and flag any metrics of interest.
    • Draft blogs and new content pages.
    • Research and add new digital health companies to the Massachusetts Digital Health Stakeholder Directory.
    • Create content add to Together.Health website to promote cross collaboration of innovation activies.


  • Draft tweets to drive traffic to the Mass Digital Health web portal.
  • Work with MCHT Marketing coordinator to draft updated social media strategy.
  • Research and pitch other marketing tools to promote the web portal.
  • Draft content blurbs for the Mass Digital Health newsletter and other communications.
  • Update Mass Digital Health campaign activity in Salesforce.
  • Look for opportunities for speaking engagements or media pitches.
